Your roofing materials are backed by the Owens Corning Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in materials and manufacturing. As a Preferred Owens Corning Contractor we can offer all tiers of warranty packages.

Key Warranty Tiers for Certified Contractors

Tier 1

System Protection™ Limited Warranty

Who can offer it

Owens Corning Preferred or Platinum Preferred Contractors.
Requirements

Requires installing Owens Corning shingles plus at least 3 qualifying accessory components (such as underlayment, ice and water barrier, and starter/ridge shingles).
Coverage

Provides a 50-year non-prorated material defect coverage period. Does not include factory-backed workmanship coverage (installation mistakes fall under the individual contractor's guarantee).

Tier 2

Preferred Protection™ Limited Warranty

Who can offer it

Offered exclusively by Owens Corning Preferred Contractors (and Platinum Preferred Contractors).
Requirements

Full Owens Corning roofing system installation.
Coverage

Extends non-prorated material coverage up to 50 years on architectural shingles and includes up to 10 years of workmanship coverage.

Tier 3

Platinum Protection™ Limited Warranty

Who can offer it

Available only through Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractors (an elite tier representing less than 1% of roofing contractors).
Requirements

Must install an Owens Corning total protection roofing system using shingles plus at least 4 qualifying accessory components, and the warranty must be registered within 60 days of installation.
Coverage

The gold standard of roofing warranties; provides 50 years of non-prorated material coverage plus lifetime workmanship coverage backed directly by Owens Corning.

Important Rules to Remember

System Component Requirement: You cannot mix and match shingle and accessory brands; the entire integrated Owens Corning roof system must be used.
Registration: Extended warranties must be properly registered with Owens Corning (typically within 60 days of the project completion) to activate full coverage.
Transferability: These warranties are generally transferrable to a second homeowner (though requirements and a small transfer window/fee may apply).

We stand behind our craftsmanship with a lifetime workmanship warranty covering installation-related defects. We are the only company in the industry offering this warranty. Most offer 1 year to 10 years.

Limited Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty

The roofing components are covered by the manufacturer's Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in materials and manufacturing.

This warranty does not cover:

Damage caused by hurricanes, tornadoes, high winds, hail, flooding, lightning, or other acts of God.
Damage caused by impact, abuse, accidents, fire, vandalism, or neglect.
Alterations, modifications, or repairs performed by anyone other than Kenai Construction or an authorized representative.
Normal wear, fading, oxidation, scratches, or cosmetic changes that do not affect structural integrity.

Lifetime Installation Workmanship Warranty

Kenai Construction warrants its installation workmanship for the lifetime of the roof.

This warranty covers defects resulting from improper installation performed by Kenai Construction.

This warranty does not cover:

Damage caused by hurricanes, tornadoes, high winds, hail, flooding, lightning, or other acts of God.
Damage caused by impact, abuse, accidents, fire, vandalism, or neglect.
Alterations, modifications, or repairs performed by anyone other than Kenai Construction or an authorized representative.
Normal wear, fading, oxidation, scratches, or cosmetic changes that do not affect structural integrity.

Warranty Claims

To submit a warranty claim:

Notify Kenai Construction within 30 days of discovering the issue.
Provide photographs of the affected area.
Provide proof of original purchase.
Allow Kenai Construction reasonable access to inspect the installation before any repairs are made.

If your claim is approved, Kenai Construction will replace the materials and perform all labor at no cost to you. Kenai Construction reserves the right to inspect, repair, or replace covered materials or workmanship at its sole discretion.

General Limitations

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser at the original installation address unless otherwise stated in writing.

This warranty does not include:

Travel charges outside our normal service area.
Removal or reinstallation of customer-owned accessories.
Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, lack of maintenance, or acts of negligence.
Incidental, indirect, or consequential damages.

Transferability

Unless otherwise stated in writing, this warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
